Beth Szescila, ISA CAPP, has participated on Antiques Roadshow since its first season, which was taped in 1996. The show is taped during the summer months, and Ms. Szescila travels around the country to various cities each year. As a generalist appraiser on the show, she has appraised items in several different categories including Rugs and Textiles, Decorative Arts, Folk Art, Collectibles and Glass. She primarily participates as an appraiser of Textiles.
Like all the experts who are invited to be on Antiques Roadshow, Ms.
Szescila does not work for the show and donates her time to PBS.
Antiques Roadshow tickets are free to the public. They are distributed
through a random selection process, which individuals can sign up for on the show's
website. While Ms. Szescila does not charge for her services on the days
that she is participating on the show; as a professional appraiser, she
does charge for appraisals done at any other time. She does not give
free appraisal to individuals who send photos and questions to her via
email.
